I have looked at your website, insidethecat.
I cannot condone or support what you are doing.
Chameleons are not domestic animals and should be left alone in their natural habitat. In South Africa they are protected species and putting them in "reptariums" as you advocate is against the law.
Pity there is not more concern for animal rights in your country.

well, if you haden't noticed, chameleons are domestic and now it has become illegal to let them go off into the wild in most states now unless you board a trip all the way to africa just to release some chameleons which would be just worse for the earth using so much fuel, and when the chameleons become endangered, we will still have the last of them and help them reproduce.if you treat them right they will feel right at home and that is the point of my website, to teach people to care for chameleons and make there lives more pleasent. your site is only a poem and i would appreciate it if you woul let the people that bought chameleons let them know what to do instead of looking at a poem that tells them they eat wind and beams to get big and strong

plus, chameleons live a better life in captivity, they live longer, eat more, and experience the same weather and plants they would in nature
i live in america, we go the hardest on animal abuse
her in connecticut, if you abuse an animal depending on how bad you do it, from 10 - an eternity

There are also two kinds of chameleons,
ones that are domesticated
and ones that are wild
regular domesticated chameleons can not survive in the wild, thats why they are called domesticated
they get plenty of room to roam in if your a good owner
every day should be an experience for them
i agree about the ones in africa to be protected but its not like people are going over and stealing them, they get them from breeders that take good care of them and populate the domesticated versions of the chameleon. dont do it for me, do it for the poor chameleons that have owners that didnt look up any knowledge of them until the last minute when they have a bone problem
please
